This page is made to provide information regarding your new internet service and collect info needed from you to schedule your installation. Your new internet is included in your rent.


We are a local internet provider founded and ran by Lake Minnetonka residents for Lake Minnetonka residents. We are 100% locally owned and operated since 2019. We are located just down the road in Spring Park from Dockside Apartments and we're excited to welcome you and Dockside onto our network!


01 Schedule Installation

Using the scheduling form below, please enter your info and select and installation date. There is no charge to you for installation, and the internet service is included within your rent.

02 Installation Date

The day of your scheduled installation a Lakeside Networks technician will arrive and assist with your installation. Please allocate between 45 minutes to an hour and a half for installation, we appreciate it!

03 Post Installation

Post-installation internet support will be handled by Lakeside Networks. You may reach us at 612-444-8664 or support@tonka.network. Lakeside Networks does not provide support for TV services.


If you ever move out of your unit, please leave your equipment behind for the next tenant or you may be charged a replacement cost.

Installation


  • What can I do to prepare?

    To prepare, please fill out the form below. As a heads up, we will need to work in your living room and at a wall plate in your kitchen to install the service. Rest assured there won't be any equipment going in your kitchen!

  • Can I bring my own equipment?

    You may bring your own router, but it would need to be placed behind our router we install in the unit. If you are tech savvy, you can remove our router while you live at Dockside, but please return it to its original setup when you move out or you may be charged a fee.

  • How is the service coming in?

    Fiber is now ran into the property, from there we are using the existing phone lines (not coax) to push up to gigabit speeds to each unit. This is done using specialized equipment we are installing in the building. We will need to access the phone lines in your unit to install your service. In most cases, we will need to access the wall plate in your kitchen (just to splice in the connection), and then a wall plate in your living room where the internet will come in.

  • What is my new internet speed?

    Your included internet speeds are up to 100Mbps, both download and upload. If you are interested in faster speeds, please let us know the plan you are interested in and we will assist in upgrading your service.

  • How does TV work?

    We are only an internet provider, and not a TV provider, although many of our clients use TV over the internet (streaming similar to Netflix). You are welcome to utilize any TV streaming service of your choosing! We do offer DirecTV Stream directly if you are interested please call us at 612-444-8664 or email us support@tonka.network


Post-Installation


  • Who should I call or email if I have any problems?

    Please reach out to us at support@tonka.network or 612-444-8664 if you are running into any internet connectivity issues after you're installed. There will be a label on your equipment with our contact info as well.

Important Information

  • Lakeside Networks is providing equipment at no additional cost to you, but remains the owner of the equipment. If you are to ever move out, please leave this equipment behind or you may be charged by us or your management for replacing them.
  • There is no installation charge to you
  • Your base plan is billed through your building management, any service upgrades are billed directly by us
