Open Internet Statement

Lakeside Networks Open Internet Disclosure Statement

Introduction

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires that we provide you with the information found below regarding our internet services including management practices, performance characteristics, and terms and conditions of our services.

Network Management

We manage our network aiming to provide an equal quality experience to all of our Subscribers. To achieve this, we shape all Subscribers' traffic to ensure they are not using more bandwidth than the amount subscribed to. Using this we are able to allocate enough bandwidth to go around for all of our Subscribers, even during peak hours. Although we aim to keep our network uptime at 99.9% or greater, services are being provided on an "As Is" basis, and the Subscriber acknowledges that the Internet is not under the control of Lakeside Networks, and that Lakeside Networks disclaims any warranty, explicit or implied, with respect to the Internet or any data, product or service rendered by the Internet.

Although Lakeside Networks does not employ a data cap on any of its plans unlike most providers, we do reserve the right to disconnect or throttle any users causing an uncharacteristic constant burden affecting our our Subscribers services. An example of this is high throughput from peer-to-peer services like torrents which can result in heavy data use over a long period of time.

    Performance Characteristics

Lakeside Networks offers multiple tiers of internet services to both residential and business users. These plans may change at any time and some plans are only available in select areas/buildings. Our plans are priced to reflect the speeds you receive with said plan.

Per the FCC requirements, we disclose information pertaining to the expected and actual speeds and latency (ping) of our internet services. Lakeside Networks aims to provide expected speeds at all times but we cannot consistently guarantee these speeds. We advertise our services to be "up to" said plan, and we do not guarantee the "up to" speeds to be reached by the Subscriber always. The "actual" speed of a Subscriber's internet service can vary due to many factors including:

    1. Unexpected interference or degradation in a wireless connection to the Subscriber's antenna
    2. An unexpected increase of the traffic on our network
    3. The performance of the Subscriber's devices
    4. The performance of the Internet as a whole
    5. Websites throttling connections (some websites may limit traffic by users to their site due to reasons of their own)

      Blocking & Discrimination of Traffic

Per the FCC's regulation, we do not block or discriminate any lawful traffic on our network, including websites that may compete with us. We believe in a free and transparent internet and will never intentionally block a website or service that is lawful.

      Internet Service Agreement

Our current service agreement can be found here: Internet Service Agreement
